Silicone rubber and the fabrication and molding of silicone rubber gaskets are Stockwell Elastomerics' core business. Silicone rubber is a versatile material, with properties that make it material of choice for many designers of equipment in the Analytical Instrumentation, Medical Diagnostic, Ruggedized Communication, Data Acquisition, Aerospace and Industrial Controls industries.

We have developed close relationships with our silicone rubber suppliers to gain access to silicone materials and technical developments within leading product lines such as; Cohrlastic Silicone Rubber, Bisco Materials Silicone Rubber, GE Silicones and Wacker Silicones. This access enables Stockwell Elastomerics to provide answers beyond our internal resources and confirm meeting silicone specifications such as ZZR765, A-A-59988, Mil-R-46089, Mil-C-6130 Type C and ASTM D2000 callouts.
Many of our silicone rubber materials are designed to function mechanically as gaskets or cushioning pads and also ground ESD, provide EMI shielding or conduct heat. The gasket material selection is an important part of the gasket design process.
Pressure sensitive adhesive backings are usually applied in-house. We have developed priming technologies to apply acrylic adhesives to silicone rubber and other combinations that serve specific uses.
Poron® cellular urethanes from Rogers Corporation continues to be what we sell the most of; in terms of square footage. We apply adhesive, slit-to-width and die cut Poron on a daily basis, from short runs to full production requirements.
To compliment our broad capabilities in silicone rubber, Stockwell Elastomerics also carries traditional rubber materials such as Neoprene, Buna-N, EPDM, Epi-Chlorohydrin in closed cell sponge, solid sheet and uncured compounds.
We also carry materials for demanding environments and specialty applications such as Viton® fluoroelastomer, fluorosilicone, conductive elastomers for ESD protection and EMI shielding and many other unique compositions.
