Stockwell Elastomerics manufactures custom gaskets laminated with over 20 pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA) systems to high-performance materials including silicone sponge, silicone foam, solid silicone sheet, PORON®, fluorosilicone, and conductive elastomers.

Adhesive backing helps to reduce assembly time and labor by improving gasket placement accuracy. It helps to eliminate mechanical fasteners and maintain consistent seal integrity by not relying on pressure alone to hold the gasket in place. Adhesives help to support automated or high-volume production as there is no need to spend significant time aligning bolt holes with fasteners.

We help you select the proper adhesive based on the environmental conditions which it is expected to perform in. These include the substrate that it will be bonding to, the temperature range, any potential chemical exposures, UV/Ozone exposure, and required peel and shear strength.

Acrylic or Silicone adhesive laminated to silicone rubber — a technically challenging process — is one of our core capabilities.
