Stockwell StockBot Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using StockBot (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”) and Stockwell Elastomerics, Inc.’s privacy policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of the Service

StockBot is an AI-powered conversational assistant that provides general, publicly available information about gaskets, pads, silicone materials, and related engineering topics. The Service is offered free of charge on stockwell.com.

3. No Engineering-Client Relationship

Information from StockBot is for general informational purposes only and is not a substitute for consultation with a qualified Stockwell engineer. Your use of StockBot does not create an engineer–client or other professional relationship with Stockwell Elastomerics.

4. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

Use the Service only for lawful purposes.
Evaluate any recommendations before relying on them in designs, prototypes, or finished products.
Perform your own testing to verify fitness for purpose.
Refrain from submitting confidential or proprietary information in the chat.

5. Intellectual-Property Rights

All content produced by StockBot and the underlying models, data, and software are owned by Stockwell Elastomerics or its licensors. You may view or download answers for personal or internal business use only. You may not resell, redistribute, or create derivative works without prior written consent.

6. Privacy

Transcripts may be logged and reviewed to improve the Service. Do not share personal data you are unwilling to have processed under our privacy policy.

7. Prohibited Conduct

You may not:

Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service.
Use automated scripts to mass-access or scrape the Service.
Upload malicious code, harassment, or unlawful content.
Misrepresent your identity or affiliation.

8. Modifications and Availability

Stockwell Elastomerics may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time without notice. Updated Terms will be posted here and are effective upon posting.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” STOCKWELL ELASTOMERICS MAKES NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, STOCKWELL ELASTOMERICS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUE, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Stockwell Elastomerics, its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your violation of these Terms or misuse of the Service.

12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
