for Demanding Environments
Stockwell Elastomerics manufactures custom silicone gaskets fabricated to customer specifications using high-performance solid silicone, silicone sponge, and silicone foam materials.
Engineered for long-term performance where failure is not an option.
Silicone rubber is commonly selected for its wide operating temperature ranges. It boasts UV and ozone resistance as well chemical and weather resistance. Silicone can be used effectively for environmental sealing when dust and moisture are concerned, maintaining long-term flexibility and compression performance in harsh conditions.
Silicone rubber is a versatile gasket material available in sponge, foam, and solid sheet configurations to meet a wide range of sealing requirements.
We manufacture silicone gaskets using a variety of production methods including waterjet cutting, precision die cutting, flash cutting, compression molding, and liquid injection molding. The production method employed for your project varies depending on the part. Liquid Injection Molding (LIM) can be suited for complex geometries, while flash cutting is used only for adhesive-backed parts. Waterjet cutting may be used early on in development for rapid prototyping but also may be suited for smaller runs or narrow part geometries.
Integrated engineering and manufacturing teams allow for fast response and consistent quality.
Silicone gaskets are frequently used in:
Material selection depends on compression requirements, environmental exposure, regulatory needs, and expected service life.
Selecting the proper silicone formulation and gasket design is critical to sealing performance and durability.
