Fuel & Chemical Resistant Sealing for Demanding Environments
Stockwell Elastomerics manufactures custom fluorosilicone gaskets, seals, and molded components for OEM applications where standard silicone materials are not sufficient.
Engineered for performance in harsh environments.
Fluorosilicone is commonly specified when applications require resistance to jet fuel, diesel, and gasoline. These versatile materials are also compatible with many oils and hydraulic fluids that can be found around heavy machinery. They offer a wide temperature performance range and long-term environmental durability. Fluorosilicone sponges resist compression and offer superb sealing performance.
It is often used in aerospace, defense, transportation, and industrial systems where chemical exposure and temperature extremes occur simultaneously.
We manufacture fluorosilicone components using a variety of production methods including waterjet cutting, precision die cutting, flash cutting, and compression molding. The production method employed for your project varies depending on the part. Waterjet cutting may be used early on in development for rapid prototyping but also may be suited for smaller runs or narrow part geometries. Flash cutting is used only for adhesive-backed parts where a kiss cut on a liner for easy removal and installation.
Compression molding of silicone and fluorosilicone compounds is one of our specialized in-house capabilities.
Fluorosilicone gaskets are commonly used in:
Our applications engineers assist with material selection based on fuel compatibility, temperature range, compression set requirements, and long-term durability.
Selecting the correct fluorosilicone formulation and gasket design is critical to performance and reliability.
